Bohemian Christmas Celebration in Moody Tones

This Christmas Inspiration shoot was inspired by the moody  Santorini winter!!

Our island is very sunny and warm in the summer. The winter  however is more cloudy and cold!! Inspired by the natural environment close to Christmas time and the latest  trends in interior & wedding design, we styled a  more moody, medieval , whimsical and at the same time modern Christmas feast!!

The  Christmas dinner table,  together with other  bold and pretty details were  installed and styled  at a historical Santorini old winery.  Where the dinner table was set  up is the same spot where about  50 years ago the owners of the winery used to step on the grapes in order to create the famous Santorini wine!!

As all  Santorini wine cellars, it was built inside the rock, like the famous Santorini cave houses. The industrial, shady, and at the same time traditional   architecture cave environment, that was used to produce and preserve  wine  in the old times, was now  our backdrop for a modern and  moody Christmas set up. We were so excited to be there, our creativity reached its limits!!

Our color scheme although in dark tones is at the same time warm and bright!! We used black, burgundy, emerald green and sparkly midnight blue!!

Our team was bold in mixing  modern with more classic  elements: wood  and velvet in combination with pampas grass  and sparkly fabrics .  We loved enriching the tablescape  with  local winter fruits  like pomegranate and berries  as well gorgeous  flowers !!  The burgundy amaryllis’ and dark peonies looked absolutely fabulous!!

The watercolor midnight blue and black on cake and the stationery were some of very favorite details!!
